Cofounder and member of the Unified Socialist Action, 1945-1950. Cofounder and member of the Mexican Workers and Peasants Party, 1955. Member of the National Committee of the Popular Socialist Party, 1963-1968.
Founder of the Movement of Socialist Action and Unity (MAUS), 1970. Secretary General of the MAUS, 1977-1982. Candidate of the leftist coalition for federal deputy and for governor of Veracruz, 1979.
Fought against de la Huerta in Jilotepec, 1923. Member of the staff of Heriberto Jara. Imprisoned many times.
