Mihaela Carmen Blendea

Blendea was born in Cluj-Napoca, Cluj, Romania, the daughter of Ioan Bodrea and Ileana (David) Bodrea. She is Romanian by nationality and ethnicity.

Education

Blendea earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine in Cluj-Napoca in 1991. She later pursued doctoral studies at UMF “Iuliu Hațieganu” Cluj-Napoca from 1992 to 1995.

Career

Blendea served as resident in internal medicine at the University of Medicine in Cluj-Napoca from 1991 to 1992. She was resident in diabetes at the Diabetes Center in Cluj-Napoca from 1992 to 1994. From 1994 to 1996, she worked as probant assistant at the Endocrinology Clinic in Cluj-Napoca. In 1996, she became assistant at the same clinic, specializing in endocrinology and diabetes care.
