Career
Triay"s remix, known as "Macarena (Bayside Boys Remix)," hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in August 1996 and remained at the top of the chart for fourteen weeks. Triay was born and raised in Puerto Rico to Cuban immigrant parents. He moved to Miami, Florida, in the late 1970s with his family.
Triay died of a heart attack on December 9, 2012, at the age of 48.
