1912-1917 worked at St. Petersburg Theater of Music and Drama, where, together with producer I.M. Lapitskiy, he staged following operas: Dargomyzhskiy’s Kamennyy gost’ (The Stone Guest). Yevgeniy Onegin (Eugene Onegin). Boris Godunov; Snegurochka (The Snow-Maiden).
