1919 graduated Petrograd Military Medicine Academy. 1923 completed postgrad, training, above Academy.
1919-1921 military surgeon, Red Army. 1924-1925 junior lecturer, 1926-1941 senior lecturer, Chair of Pathological Anatomy, Leningrad Military Med Academy. 1929-1941 head, Pathological Department, Institute of Oncology.
1941-1942 pathoanatomist of a front, 1942-1945 chief pathoanatomist, Soviet Army. 1945-1950 head, Chair of Pathological Anatomy, Leningrad State Institute of Advanced Med Training. 1945-1963 senior associate and head, Pathomorphological Laboratory, Institute of Oncology, USSR Academy of Med Sciences.
1963-1967 consultant, above inst and director, International Center for Tumors of the Ovaries, World Health Org. Deputy chairman, Presidium, All-Union Social of Pathoanatomists. Member, ed collegium, journal Voprosy onkologii.
Member, ed council, journal Arkhiv patologii', co-ed, ’’Pathology and Morphology” section, 2nd ed of Bol’shaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya (Large Medical Encyclopedia). Co-ed, Opyt sovetskoy meditsiny v Velikoy Otechestvennoy voyne 1941-1945 gg (Soviet Medical Experience in the 1941-1945 Great Fatherland War). Studied nature of malaria pigmentation, morphology and histogenesis of tumors, etc.
Wrote some 80 works.
