Mikhail Andreevich Goncharov

Background

Goncharov Mikhail Andreevich was born on the 1st of October,1923 in Kurennoe village, Ostrogozhsky district of Voronezh (now Voronezh oblast, Russian Federation) province in the family of a working forestry enterprise.

Career

He served in the Soviet Army until 1980 (since 1946, mainly in Odessa Military District). Colonel. In 1980-1982 he was in charge of the scientific and methodical department of the Odessa Literary Museum. In the postwar period, Goncharov regularly visited Voronezh and his native village.

Achievements

• Author of documentary books on the military theme. Repeatedly published in the Voronezh newspaper Kommuna.
