Mikhail Ivanovich was a squad leader of the 190th separate combat intelligence company (the 60th Army, Central Front). He distinguished himself with a group of reconnoiters in battles on the western bank of the Desna River near the village Rudnya (Kozeletsky District, Chernihiv region, Ukrainian SSR).
Since 1946 Mikhail Ivanovich was a captain in reserve. He lived and worked in the Voronezh region, later - in Voronezh, as a deputy chairman of the Voronezh Regional Council of People's Deputies of Working People. Mikhail Ivanovich was a delegate of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR from the Voronezh Region (1963-1971).
