Career
Tamai Misao entered Kobe Marine & Fire Insurance Company and became chief of Kaijoka (Maritime Affairs Section) of Kobe Branch (1933) and became president of Kobe Dock Industry Company (since 1942) and Tamai Shosen Kaisha (Tamai Mercantile Marine Company) (since 1935).
Held additional posts of president of Shinwa Lumber Company (since 1949), director of Nihon Senshu Kyokai (Japan Ship Owners' Association) and official of a few other public organizations.
