Career
He entered Nishonoseki Sumo Training Quarters (1939), made his debut in the ring (1940), reached rank of Sekiwake or third-ranking champion (1949), following year Tetired and entered Nitta Construction Company.
He urned professional wrestler (1951). Rikidozan went to U.S. in 1952 where he performed brilliantly. He revisited U.S. (1953) but was defeated in the world championship bout.
