Education

Mladen Grcevic earned a Bachelor of Law in Law (1942) and a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Art History (1960, 1965) from the University of Zagreb.

Career

A freelance photographer, art- and photohistorian since 1954, Mladen Grcevic formerly was professor at the Academy of Applied Arts (1952-1954) and instructor in the School of Graphic Arts (1946-1952), both in Zagreb.

From 1939 to 1953 he concentrated on pictorial photography in his home country, but after 1954 he began traveling around the world, especially in Asia. His research is on the early days of photography as an art form.
