Morinosuke Yamamoto was born in 1877 in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.
Morinosuke Yamamoto studied under Chu Asai and Kiyoteru Kuroda and then went on to graduate from Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts (1899).
Morinosuke Yamamoto studied art in Paris (1921). Later together with Katsumi Miyake and Hiromitsu Nakazawa founded Kofukai (artists association). His representative works are Kureyuku-Shima (Darkening Isle) and Mori-wo-Oku (Depths of a Forest).
