Motoichi Yuhara graduated from Tokyo University.
After graduating from Tokyo University with a degree in medicine (1888) entered the teaching profession and was in turn professor at Yamaguchi Higher School and 5th Higher School in Kumamoto, inspector of education in Niigata Prefecture, director of Tokyo Academy of Music (1907), director of Tokyo Women Normal School (1917), director of Tokyo Higher School (1921) and retired (1927). Among his works are "New Theory of Education" and "Educational Psychology."
