Ryutaro Tsuchida graduated from Tokyo University in 1928.
In 1928 stayed behind as assistant professor, then professor at Tokyo Higher School, to become first assistant and then professor at Osaka University. Meantime studied in Europe and was conferred a doctorate (1938).
Is noted for his study on spectral chemistry. Among his works are "An Outline of Chemistry," "Color and Construction of Chemical Metal Compounds" and "An Introduction to Chemistry."
