Motosuke Masuda was an auditor of Tokyo Electric Power Company since 1951 and chief director of Denki Kurabu (Electricity Club) since 1922. He served first as engineer of Tokyo Shigai Tetsudo Kaisha (Tokyo Suburban Railway Company), then of Tokyo Railway Company and Tokyo Municipal Electricity Bureau and later as president of Toko Denki Kaisha (Toko Electricity Company). He was director of Tokyo Den to Kaisha (Tokyo Electric Light Company) and a few other companies and thereafter he assumed his present posts. Also he was director of Nihon Denki Kyokai (Japan Electricity Association). He holds additional posts of Tokyo Hyojun Denkyuko Kumiai (Tokyo Standard Electric Bulb Manufacturers' Association), Japan Electric Bulb Manufacturers' Union and member of Tokyo Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
