Mr. Seeger was born on July 1, 1929, in Lackawanna, New York, United States. He was a son of Carl J. and Leta A. (Amsdell) Seeger.

Education

Murray Seeger graduated from University of Iowa in 1951, earning his Bachelor of Arts. From 1961 to 1962 he was a student of Harvard University.

Career

During the period of 1951-1952 Mr. Seeger resumed his office as reporter for Buffalo Evening News, Buffalo, NY. In 1952-1962 he worked at Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cleveland, OH, serving as a reporter. Between 1962 and 1964 he occupied the position of an editorial director at KYW-Radio and Television, Cleveland. He acted as a reporter for New York Times, New York City, in 1964-1965.

During the years 1965-1967 Murray Seeger was correspondent for Newsweek, Washington. He joined Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles, CA, acting as a Washington correspondent, 1967-1972, Moscow correspondent, 1972-1974, Bonn correspondent, 1975-1978, European economic, 1981. Since 1983 Mr. Seeger has become adjunct professor at American University.
