Myles Schrag was born on November 11, 1969, in Topeka, Kansas. He is the son of Joe, a teacher and track coach, and Joleen Schrag.
Myles Schrag studied at Goshen College. There he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1992. Schrag also attended Personal Success Institute Seminars and learned kinesiology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Myles Schrag served as a journalist and sports editor from 1993 to 2000. He has been involved in sport throughout his life as a participant, fan, coach, and parent. Schrag also was a developmental editor at the Human Kinetics Publishers in 1999-2016. He was project director for the New Mexico Endowment for the Humanities-sponsored oral history exhibit, Baseball: The Farmington Pastime. To date, since 2000, Schrag teaches in Champaign and works at Soulstice Publishing.
Additionally, Myles Schrag is a writer. In his book, Diamond in the Desert: The Story of the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, New Mexico, baseball provides the community with an identity and, as a result, the community treats the Great American Pastime in a way that is unique and heroic. Schrag also is a founder of Adina Publishing.

2016As a writer, Myles Schrag hopes that books such as his, Diamond in the Desert, not only showcase a deep love and respect for the game of baseball but also encourage communities to be proud of their contributions to American society and encourage people to delve into the reasons why sports can be so particular.
