Career
Pratt began her career as a curatorial intern at National Zoo of Smithsonian Institute. Since 1984 she has been a teacher at the Center for Reproduction of Endangered Species of San Diego Zoo. In 1989, she became a research fellow at the same center and had held it for five years.
