Hasse began her career as technician of quality control at Standard Chlorine of Delaware, Inc. in 1987. The same year she took a position of a technologist at Terumo Medical Corporation. Then in 1989, Nancy became a chemical technologist at DuPont Company. In 1990, she was appointed a senior scientist of research and development at Becton Dickinson. Since 2007 Hasse has been a staff biochemist at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.
Hasse is a member of American Association for the Advancement of Science and Baltimore Area Chromatography Discussion Group.
