Background
Naomi lives on a small horse farm in Beeton, Ontario Canada with her Mom, Lynda and her Dad Eugene. She has a sister, Amber and two brothers, Hayden and Westin. Raised in a rodeo family Naomi, of course, has a great love for animals and enjoys riding at any opportunity. Naomi also has a great appreciation for western cowboy music, enjoying its storytelling and simplicity. Naomi's strong faith has guided her to gospel music and she loves to sing with her church band.
In the spring of 2008, Naomi recorded her first album titled "Cowboy Sweetheart", followed by "The Yodelin' Cowgirl" November 1st 2008, then "Ridin' High" which came out July 20th 2009. Ridin' High was awarded the "Best Traditional Yodel Album of the Year 2010" by the National Traditional Country Music Association in the United States. She recorded her first three albums at Ambassador Records in Oshawa, Ontario. Her fourth CD "Lookin' Back" was recorded in Nashville, TN and Naomi had the honor and privilege to sing two duets with Jim Ed Brown, Grand Ole Opry Star. In spring of 2011, Naomi once again recorded in Nashville her 5th album titled "Lovin' the Ride" featuring Jim Ed Brown and also Richard Sterban from the Oakridge Boys. In March of 2012 Naomi's path took another direction. She recorded her most memorable CD titled "Blessed Trails". A lovely selection of gospel songs and featured the one and only Mr. Vince Gill. This was an experience that will remain an incredible blessing in Naomi’s journey. Naomi released her 7th album with a collection of all her yodeling songs titled "Yee Haw Yodelin". In 2013, Naomi released her first DVD, “The Heart of a Cowgirl” which includes live performances and tapings from television shows she had appeared on. A great mixture of traditional country music is featured on Naomi’s CD, “Stayin’ On Track” which she released summer 2014. Naomi decided to release another album in 2015 with another great collection of yodeling songs titled, “Just Yodelin”. Naomi is very excited to announce her new album, “Yodelin’ Christmas” with an assortment of Christmas songs and some yodeling. She is honored to have Whisperin’ Bill Anderson sing his song, Po Folks Christmas as a duet with her.
A large part of Naomi's performances the past few years have been with the CKNX Barn Dance which is where Shania Twain cut her teeth and where Naomi is now included in their museum, located in Wingham, Ontario. Naomi has performed on Breakfast Television and YTV. She has been showcased on the RFD TV for the 3rd season of Shotgun Red which was recorded live on the famous General Jackson Showboat Nashville, TN.
