(Death is part of life, and the dead are part of our lives...)
Death is part of life, and the dead are part of our lives. In this collection, poet Naomi Goodman discloses her strong feelings about the aging process, the march toward the end game. Life is a passing phenomenon, she says; we're here almost by accident, on borrowed time, and we must make the most of what time we're loaned. One must do one's best to stay alert, so as not to survive the death of one's mind. Be grateful. Honor the present as well as the past. And when we die, we will still be around for those we leave behind.
