Graduated from Tokyo University (1930).
Career
After graduating from Tokyo University (1930), edited magazines on genre painting. Later was appointed instructor at Rissho University and was conferred a doctorate, LL.D. (1954). Amongr his works are "bn Hokusai" and "The Beauty of Japanese Prints."
