Nariyuki Tanaka was employed by the Fukuoka Nichinichi Shimbun (newspaper) and served as chief of the Peking office, chief of liaison section, chief of the general affairs section (1943), director-general of editorial office (1945). He became president of the Nishi Nihon Shimbun (newspaper) (since 1947). He was also member of the Board of Trustees, Radio Kyushu.
