She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest in the class of Francisz Shirato in 1939.
Together with her husband she went to Paris in 1947. In 1948, they founded a workshop at Impassa Ronsin, in close proximity to the studio of Constantin Brancusa. In 1965, she received French citizenship.
She made illustrations of the History of de Brigands, written by Brankusha and published in 1969.
Together with Pontus Hulten and Alexander Istrati, she wrote a memoir about Constantin Brancusa, published in November 1987 in English. Then the work was translated into French.
The first personal exhibition of the artist was held in 1946 in Bucharest. From 1956 to 1980, she participated in various avant-garde art exhibitions in the galleries of Denise René, Colette Alendz and Arno.
In 1977, along with Alexandru Istrati, she reorganized the workshop of Konstantin Brankusha in the Guyakes Pompidou Center.
She married Alexander Istrati in 1939.
