Natalia Sergeevna Reut was born on November 6, 1901 in Levaya Rossosh, Voronezh region, Russian Federation into a farming family.
In 1918 Natalia Sergeevna graduated (with a gold medal) from private gymnasium M.P. Kozhevnikov in Voronezh. In 1918-1919 she studied at the medical, law faculties of Voronezh State University, from where she transferred to the Theater Studio.
From 1923 she lived in the city of Petrograd (now Saint Petersburg), where in 1932 she graduated from the Institute of Performing Arts (now Russian State Institute of Performing Arts).
In 1923-1938 Natalia Sergeevna worked as an actress, theater director. Since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, she was seconded to the Black Sea Fleet, speaking from the Political Administration of the fronts of the Crimea and the Caucasus. After the blockade lifted, she returned to Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg). Since 1938 Natalia Sergeevna has been reading her sketches and feuilletons from the stage. Since 1946, engaged in professional literary work.
Author of several plays staged in different cities of the country. Together with her husband, published (mainly in Leningrad) more than 10 books of prose, including "Colored Dutch" (1959), "Alien Flock" (1962), "Russian Order" (1964), "Peter and Pedro" (1966), "On rumba 202" (1967), 'I could not do otherwise" (1971), "It is not easy at all" (1974).
