In 1978, Natalya Aleksandrovna graduated from the History Department of the Voronezh State University and moved to Riga. She studied at the University of Latvia and received her Master's degree in 2000 and Doctor of Philosophy in 2007.
Natalya Aleksandrovna has been living in Riga, Latvia since 1978. In 1984-1992, she was head of the library 13. Natalya Aleksandrovna worked as an English teacher at the secondary school 51 in 1995-1999. Since 2000 Natalya Aleksandrovna has been working as a Lecturer at the Department of English Studies of the University of Latvia. She is the author of more than 20 scientific articles. Natalya Aleksandrovna wrote a doctoral dissertation "Linguistic Variation in English Computer-Mediated Academic Discourse".
