Instructor Goucher College, Baltimore, 1982-1987. Teaching assistant University Delaware, Newark, 1987-1988, University Maryland, College Park, 1988-1995. Writer-in-residence Sweet Briar College, Amherst, 1995.

Instructor Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, 1995-1998. Member faculty Master of Fine Arts program Vermont College, Montpelier, since 1996. Associate professor, director poetry series Westminster College, Salt Lake City, since 1998.
