Minister Presbyterian church, Woodbridge, New Jersey, 1755-1760, Sixth Parish, Norwich, Connecticut, 1760-1765. Traveled to England with Review Samson Occom for purpose collecting funds for educating American Indians, 1765-1767, obtained 12,000 pounds. Minister Third Church, Salem, Massachusetts, 1769-1784, Presbyterian church, Skowhegan, Maine, 1785-1790.
