Graduated from the Economics Department of the Tokyo University in 1936.
Nezu Kaichiro became director of Nezu Ikueikai (Scholarship Society) in 1940, director of Fukoku Life Insurance Company and Yokohama Soko Kaisha (Warehouse Company), councilor of Nihon Bunka Chuo Remmei (Japan Central Cultural League) and Nezu Bijutsukan (Art Museum) and thereafter became president of Tobu Railway Company since 1941 and director of Federation of Economic Organizations Held various additional posts including those of supervisor of Nihon Sangyo Kyokai (Japan Industrial Association), Tokyo Chamber of Commerce & Industry, director of Kanto Federation of Economic Organizations, auditor of Tokyo Gas Company and a few other companies.
