In his youth, Nikita Vsevolodovich was abroad, but due to financial difficulties, the family was forced to return to Russia and in 1816 to enter the College of Foreign Affairs as an actuary. In 1827, while on vacation in the Caucasus, he met with A.S. Griboedov, talked with D.V. Davydov.
Career
Since 1828 Nikita Vsevolodovich was an official of the department of the Tiflis military governor; in 1831 he was assigned for special assignments to the manager of the General Staff, in the same year Nikita Vsevolodovich received the rank of chamberlain, in 1837 got the rank of Advisor. In 1838-1841 a member of the Cabinet of Her Imperial Majesty, in 1847 he was appointed Hofmeister.

Vsevolozhsky in the late 1810 - 1820s had friends among all the famous people of St. Petersburg in the field of literature and theater; In 1819 he founded the Green Lamp (the society of the St. Petersburg noble, mostly military, youth, among which there were Decembrists, as well as A.
