Nikolai Aleksandrovich wrote his works in Russian. From June 1942 to February 1943 he participated in the position of anti-tank battery commander in the battles for Voronezh and in the Voronezh region (the village of Sinye Lipyagi and other settlements). Poems of the military cycle in Rybalko’s books ("Flowers and Gunpowder" (1963), "The Road to the Height" (1967), "Visible" (1970)) are inspired by the impressions of those days.
