Nikolai Ivanovich Alpatov

Nikolai Alpatov was born on the 9th of May, 1906, in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan.

Education

Graduated from the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after A.I. Herzen in 1931.

Career

Worked in the Far Eastern Regional Department of Public Education (Khabarovsk, 1931-1935). Was a lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy of the Kuibyshev State Pedagogical Institute in 1935-1940. Director of the Kuibyshev Special School No. 4 in 1941-1942. Later he worked in the pedagogical institutes of Tashkent, Ryazan, Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk (rector in 1952-1958). Doctor of education (1948), professor (1949), "Exemplary worker of public education" (1960). From the beginning of 1962 - head of the chair of pedagogy and psychology of the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute. Also worked in Voronezh on the chapters of the collective textbook on pedagogy for universities.
