Nikolai Dmitrievich Kuznetsov, USSR Aircraft engine designer.


Kuznetsov, Nikolai Dmitrievich was born in 1911.


Graduated from the Zhukovskii Air Force Academy, 1938.


Joined the Red Army, 1933. During and after World War II, prominent designer of aircraft engines (for the An-22,11-62, 11-86, Tu-114, Tu-144. and Tu-154). Also designed engines for sea and inland shipping.

Academician, 1974.
