1922-1957 professor, Khar’kov University. Founder-director, Khar’kov Branch, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Geographical Social. Made a round-the-world tour, including Western Europe, America, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, Japan and China.
Wrote some 50 works on geomorphology (including geomorphological zones of Ukraine Soviet Socialist Republic), Ukraine paleogcography and the history of geography.
