1902-1908 head, Surgical Department, Petrozavodsk Province former local government authority Hospital. 1903 founded Olonets Province Physicians’ Social. From 1918 chief surgeon, Moscow’s Beryozkin Hospital.
1931-1935 head Surgical Department, Moscow’s Blagushchinskaya Hospital. From 1935 professor, Hospital Surgical Clinic, 3rd Moscow Medical Institute. 1942-1952 consultant and sci director at Moscow hospitals.
From 1952 chief surgeon, Moscow’s Bauman Hospital. Advocated early surgery for acute appendicitis. Proposed intraabdominal resection of intestine in case of constricted hernia.
Did research on patency of large intestine’s descending section when separated from mesentery. Wrote more than 50 works on abdominal surgery' and urology.
