KRACHKOVSKY, Nikolay was born in 1890.
1916 graduated Electromech. Department, Petrograd Polytechn. Institute.
Since 1922 engaged in design and construction of power transmission lines at the Volkhov, Dnieper and Central Volga Hydropower Plants. Since 1930 engaged in pedagogics and science work at a polytechnicum, at Leningrad Polytechn. Institute, and at USSR Academy of Science.
1934-1937 headed USSR Academy of Science power lines team. 1942-1943 did supervisory engineer work in eastern regions of USSR. 1944-1946 Head of a systems section, Leningrad Department, Trust for Planning Power Engineering Enterprises.
1947-1954 Chief, Electrotechn. Section, Technology Department, above trust. Since 1950 engaged in design of electrical equipment for large hydropower plants and power systems.
