1915 graduate Petrograd University.
1915-1935 professor, Petrogiad (Leningrad) University. From 1918 worked at various Institute, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. Did research on complex ammonium and amine chloroplatinites of silver and zinc, sulphur compounds, iridium and the hydrolysis of platinum compounds.
Developed industry method of obtaining pure indium. Also devised a method of analyzing platinum-bearing sludge and the semiproducts of the refinement of precious metals. Wrote works on the chemistry of complex compounds of platinum and other precious metals, their analysis and production control.
