Nikolay Nikolayevich Kardashev

Kardashev (Kardashov) Nikolay Nikolayevich was born on October 27, 1873, in Moscow, Russian Federation.

Education

In 1894 Nikolay Kardashov graduated from the Moscow Gymnasium. After that he studied at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow University (1894-1897).

Career

Nikolay Kardashov was a member of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party since 1897. He participated in the activities of the Social-Democratic Organization in Voronezh "The struggle counter", the revolutionary events of 1905 and 1917.

After the October Revolution of 1917, chairman of the Voronezh provincial committee of the Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks), head of the provincial labor department (from April 1918), chairman of the provincial Council of National Economy (since August 1918), provincial executive committee (from early 1919).

In the fall of 1919, he was recalled to the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks).

From November 1919, chairman of the special food commission of the Eastern Front, member of the Siberian Bureau of the Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks).

Achievements

• A street in Voronezh (1962) was named after Kardashev. In the house where he lived (20th anniversary street of the Komsomol, 37) a memorial plaque was installed (1967).
