Nina Pandolfo was born in 1977 in Tupã, São Paulo, Brazil.
Nina Pandolfo developed a passion for visual art at an early age producing her first drawings while a three-year-old girl.
The impression from a graffiti painting she witnessed on Tiradentes Avenue in front of Estação da Luz in the center of São Paulo defined the direction of her subsequent artistic path. By the age of twelve, Pandolfo tried her hand as a graffitist for the first time.
The stylized letters standing for the artist’s name were essential elements of Nina Pandolfo’s early works. In the course of time, her canvases and murals acquired more and more details without losing their charm.
Pandolfo emerged to the art scene at the end of the 1990s having her debut solo show in a Cultural Complex Funarte, São Paulo in 1999. It was followed by an international debut at the gallery Die Farberie in Munich, Germany three years later.
Since then, the artist has exhibited and taken part in many other art events, including the shows in Germany, Cuba, Spain, the United States, France, Greece to name a few. The same for her works that can be seen in a variety of public spaces all around the world, including India, Austria, and Japan in addition to the above-mentioned countries.
In 2007, Pandolfo has collaborated with another prominent Brazilian graffitist, Os Gemeos, on a mural on the facade of Kelburn Castle, in Glasgow, Scotland. Four years later, the artist gathered a great number of her works in one volume titled ‘Nina’ in her honor.
