Yurchenko, Nina F. was born in Kaliningrad, Russia. Daughter of Fyodor S. Kuznetsov and Evdokiya M. Kuznetsova.
Graduated with honors from Kiev Polytechnic University, Advanced State Courses in Foreign Languages, and State Patent Courses; defended her Ph.D. in fluid dynamics at the Institute of Hydromechanics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
AIAA Associate Fellow, listed as a noteworthy scientist by Marquis Who's Who, awarded by CRDF for the most innovative project in 2009.
Present professional activities are focused on R & D of smart energy-efficient flow-control methods as well as on the development of a supersonic pulse ejector applicable for novel airbag inflation systems for conventional and autonomous vehicles.
The work experience is available in bionics, boundary-layer instability and laminar-turbulent transition over rigid and compliant surfaces, heat transfer enhancement/control, drag reduction. Manager of 12 international research projects, manager of outsourcing activities on the development of auto-safety systems and patenting.
