Kapper Nina Ivanovna (nee Dobrogorskay) was born on June 10, 1895 in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. She was the daughter of Dobrogorsky Ivan Ivanovich, State Councillor, and of Olga Grigorievna Pelko-Besidovskaya.

In 1916 Kapper Nina Ivanovna graduated from school of the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of Arts under the direction of Nikolai Konstantinovich Roerich.
In 1930 Nina Ivanovna took paricipation at the 5th exhibition of the Youth Coalition of the Association of Artists of the Revolution in Voronezh. During 1935-1941 she worked as a head of the art studio at Voronezh Palace of Pioneers, where I.I. Andreeva, C.L. Gollerbach, B.G. Okunev, K.N. Uspenskaya and others were taught. She also was a participant of different local and regional exhibitions in 1936-1937 and in 1940-1941.
During 1932-1935 Nina Ivanovna was the member of Voronezh Association "Artist". Since 1934 she also became the member of the All-Russian Cooperative Union of Fine Art Workers "The All-Artist".
She married Oscar Gustavovich Kapper and had 2 daughters.
She was born on October, 5, 1919 and died in 2005. She took participation in the Great Patriotic War.
