Nobufusa Madenokoji was born in 1258.

Career

Nobufusa Madenokoji belonged to the Fujiwara family and in turn served Emperors Jta and Godaigo. When Emperor Godaigo took flight in Mount Kasagi Nobufusa Madenokoji was arrested by the Shogunate on charges that his son, Fujifusa had aided in the Emperor's flight, but through the mediation of Prime Minister Takatoki Ho jo was pardoned and entered the services of the Shogun. Later when Emperor Godaigo returned from exile he rejoined him. Toward his end he became a priest.
