Kasagi, Nobuhide was born on May 8, 1947 in Asahigawa, Hokkaido, Japan. Son of Shigenobu and Yuriko Kasagi.

Assistant professor department mechanical engineering University Tokyo, 1976-1977, associate professor, 1977-1990, professor, since 1990. Visiting scientist Stanford (California) University, 1980-1981.
