Secretary of Public Security of the State of Minas Gerais, 19291930. Appointed civil assistant of the Revolutionary General Staff, 1930. Subsequently appointed legal adviser of the Bank of Brazil.
Co-founder of the Progressive Party of Minas Gerais. Delegate of Minas Gerais to the Constituent Assembly of Rio de Janeiro, 1933. At present (1934) Minister of Agriculture.
