Ohide Tanaka was a disciple of Norinaga Moto-ori.
A master of Akemi Tachibana he also excelled in Court music. He wrote some books which are considered classics, such as "Interpretation of Taketori-Monogatari" and "Interpretation of Tosa Nikki".
