Nishi, Okihiro was born on November 20, 1940 in Osaka, Japan. Son of Taseki and Sono (Shiraishi) Nishi.

Bachelor Culture, University Tokyo, 1961. Doctor of Medicine, University Freiburg, Germany, 1967.

Career

Assistant physician in ophthalmology University Tokyo, 1968-1970. Vice director Nishi Eye Hospital, Osaka, 1970-1986, director, since 1986. Surgeon faculty eye camp Indo-Japan Ophthalmol.

Foundation, Madras, India, 1987, board directors, since 1987. Teacher in training of many Indian physicians for cataract surgery, since 1986. Member faculty Congress of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Dublin, since 1987.

Lecturer 8th Annual Meeting German Ophthalmic Surgeons, Nürnberg, 1995. Director and science advisor Highlights of Ophthalmology, Panama, since 1996.
