After graduating from the Agriculture Department, Tokyo University (1921), he became a researcher of the Tokugawa Biological Research Institute. Conducted cytological and genetical research of the cricket and other similar insects and received a doctorate for it. His study of chromosomes of those insects are highly valued.
Career
He has been professor at the Mie Higher Agriculture and Forestry School, which was elevated to Mie University after World War II. Wrote books on entomological subjects
