Education
Otakasaka studied in Kyoto and Edo before he served Masanori Inaba, rojii or Shogunate minister.
Career
Otakasaka became an official Confucian scholar of the Matsuyama Clan (Ehime Prefecture) at the invitation of its lord, Sadanao Hisamatsu. He wrote books opposing the doctrines of Ansai Yamazaki and Jinsai Ito.
