Owen Goldin attained Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating from St. John’s College in 1979. Three years later, in 1982, the philosopher got Master of Arts degree at University of Chicago. He continued his studies and in 1987 obtained Doctor of Philosophy degree, graduating from University of Texas in Austin.
Owen Goldin started his career as an assistant professor in 1987 at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States and held the post till 1994, when he was appointed an associate professor of philosophy.
Goldin co-organized Marquette University Midwest Seminar in Ancient and Medieval Philosophy in 1999.
Beginning from 2004 to 2006 he held the post of a director of graduate studies at Department of Philosophy at Marquette University.
He started to work on the Editorial Board of academic journal History of Philosophy Quarterly in 2013. Owen held this position until 2017.
Since 2017 Owen Goldin has been working as an associate chair of Philosophy Department at Marquette University.
Currently Goldin is working as a Professor of Philosophy at Marquette University. He often leads graduate classes in ancient philosophy and has taught a wide variety of classes at the undergraduate level.
Owen also translated several writings, one of them is "Philoponus: On Aristotle Posterior Analytics".
