His collaboration with the Wachowski brothers continued with V for Vendetta and Speed Racer.

Achievements

• Prior to working on The Matrix, Paterson had worked on Australian films such as The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (for which he won an American Film Institute Award) and Welcome to Woop Woop with director Stephan Elliott.
