A visiting instructor at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York, since 1977, P. Horton taught at William Paterson College, Wayne, New Jersey, from 1973 to 1978. He also was an assistant professor of art at Linfield College, McMinnville, Oregon (1968-1970), and taught at Seattle Community College, Washington (1966-1967), and Everett Junior College, Washington (1965-1966).
His work is of "large scale abstract all- white constructed environments," while his work from 1976 to 1979 consisted of "dyptichs comparing semi-abstract high-key landscapes and interiors to altered landscapes and interiors."
